Methodology
The North Carolina Business Pulse Survey was launched in October 2021 as a pilot project to measure changes in business conditions, attitudes, and behaviors of businesses throughout the state on a monthly basis. Because it is based on a convenience sample of respondents who have volunteered to participate in the project, the results may not represent the experiences of all businesses in the state.

The 2022 Employer Needs Survey is a product of the Labor and Economic Analysis Division (LEAD) of the North Carolina Department of Commerce in collaboration with the NCWorks Commission to better understand employers’ hiring difficulties and workforce needs.
